Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Pintle Mounting Plate for a Gen Y Hitch Adjustable 2 1/2 Inch Receivers. Now, this pintle mounting plate slides into one of the receiver tubes on your 2 1/2 inch Gen Y Adjustable Hitch. This is not compatible with normal truck hitches. Once installed, you can easily add a pintle hook to the mounting plate. It does have a 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch shank here on the back side of the unit. It's made from a durable steel construction and it features a black, powder coated finish to keep the unit safe from rust and corrosion.A few measurements to go over with you real quick. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the BMW Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for two inch hitches. The hitch mounted adapter plate provides a mounting point for a pintle hook. It's gonna offer six different positions so that's gonna let you customize the height of your pintle. It can be used in either the drop position or it can be flipped over and used in the rise position as well. It's made from a sturdy steel construction so it's got a nice, solid shank here on the unit and the steel is all covered with a powder-coated finish, which is gonna do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Convert-A-Ball Pintle Mounting Bar Review - 2014 Chevrolet Suburban- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevy Suburban, we'll be test fitting the Convert A Ball cushion adjustable pintle mounting bar for two inch hitches rated at 10,000 pounds part number AMPC2. Before we begin our test fit we'll first going to get the hitch height of our Suburban. The hitch height is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. We'll get a hitch height of about twenty four and a half inches. Keep in mind this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or at your market accessories. We'll begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the mounting bar into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pinholes, we'll insert the pin to the pinholes and then secure it with the clip on the other side. We'll then measure from the ground to the center of the second hole from the bottom and we'll get a measurement of about twenty and a half inches. more

Convert-A-Ball Pintle Mounting Bar Review - 2014 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 RAM 2500, we'll be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball cushioned adjustable Pintle mounting bar for 2-inch hitches rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMPC2. Now we'll be using the Blue Ox Hitch Reducer Sleeve from a 2 1/2 inch to a 2 inch hitch, part number BX88187. Before we begin our test fit we'll need to get the hitch height of our pickup truck. With the adapter already inserted into the hitch, we have about a 24 inch hitch height. Keep in mind this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or after market accessories. We'll now begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the mounting bar in the drop position into our adapter sleeve. We'll line up the two pin holes and then continue to slide the sleeve back into the hitch. We'll then insert the pin through all three of the pin holes and secure the clip on the other side. With the mounting bar in this position, I'll give you two quick measurements. more

To begin our test fit, we first need to obtain our hitch height. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. We have a measurement of about 21 inches. Now, keep in mind that this measurement may vary depending on tire size, hitch style, or after market accessories. We'll take our mount and slide the shank of our mount into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the pin holes and we'll insert our pin and clip, which is sold separately. Now, this would be considered the drop position, so we'll measure from the ground to the center of our bottom hole, and we have a measurement of 16-1/4 inches. more

With it in the drop position, we can then measure from the ground to the center of the second set of holes from the bottom. This measurement is about 15 and 1/4 of an inch. From the third set of holes from the bottom, is about 17 and 1/4 of an inch. more

Today on our 2003 Dodge Dakota, we'll be test fitting the Convert-a-Ball cushioned adjustable pintle mounting bar for 2-inch hitches rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMPC2. Before we begin our test fit we will firstly obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. The hitch height for this vehicle is 15-1/4 inches. Keep in mind this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or after market accessories. We'll now begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the mounting bar into the opening of the hitch and securing it with the pin and clip. You can use this in the drop or the rise position. We'll start off in the drop. Now from the ground to the center of the bottom set of holes is 9-3/4 inches. We can now flip it over into the rise position and we'll then measure from the ground to the center of the top set of holes, and we'll get a measurement of about 18-1/2 inches. If your vehicle's hitch height matches ours and your trailers ride height is on or in between these two sets of measurements, this should be an appropriate pintle mounting bar for you. That will complete today's test fit for the Convert-a-Ball cushioned adjustable pintle mounting bar for 2-inch hitches, part number AMPC2 on our 2003 Dodge Dakota. more

Before I began our test fit we'll first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. The hitch height for this vehicle is 17-1/4 inches. Keep in mind that this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or after-market accessories. We'll now begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the pintle mounting bar into the opening of the hitch and securing it with the pin and clip. more

Today were going to take a look at this Tow Ready Pintle Hook Mount part number 63058. This is a pretty hefty piece of work weighing in at 24 lbs and it features a solid shank. This pintle hook mount slides into a 2-inch trailer hitch to provide a mounting location for pintle hook. It has a gross towing weight capacity of 8000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 800 lbs. the shank length from the center of the hitch pin hole here to the front of the mounting plate is 11-3/4 of an inch and from the center of the hitch pin hole here to the end of the shank, the end that goes into the trailer hitch receiver, is 3-1/4 inches. Today, we're going to take a look at the Draw-Tite Pintle Hook Combo, Number 63012. This is a pintle hitch combo with a 2-5/6 inch trailer hitch ball. It will mount directly to your bumper if you have a heavy duty reinforced bumper or you can hook it up to a pintle hook mount and will show you how to do that in just a moment. The pintle capacity for this item is 16,000 pounds, maximum growth towing weight capacity. The weight capacity of the hitch ball is 14,000 pounds and it has a 3,000 pound towing weight capacity or a vertical load limit. The ball hole diameter right here is 1-1/8 of an inch. Tow Ready Pintle Hitch - Pintle Hook - Ball Combo - TR63011 Review- Video
Today, we're going to take a look at the Tow Ready Pintle Hook Combo with Two-Inch Ball, Number TR63011. This is a Pintle hitch and it also features a two-inch hitch ball that can be either a Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch or Reese Hitch Ball. The way this works, you will first remove the pin and clip that just slides. As you can see, it is attached to the product with a small lightweight chain, you will lift the lever here and then that would be open and you can back your tow vehicle into the trailer, hook the coupler right there then you would lift the lever again that locks in place. For an additionally secure ride, you'd pop that pin and clip back in and that will prevent your lever from moving up and potentially unhitching your trailer. Some of the specs and dimensions for this item, the weight capacity for the pintle is 16,000 pounds of gross towing weight. The tongue weight capacity is 3,000. The ball capacity is 10,000. Taking a look at some measurements here from center to center, side to side is 3-3/8 of an inch; center to center, top to bottom that is 1-1/8 of an inch. Now to use this, you can either bolt it directly to a heavy duty bumper on your truck, you would just mount that on there and the mounting pieces are included -- the nuts, bolts and washers or you can use one of these. Convert-A-Ball Pintle Mounting Bar Review - 2006 Cadillac Escalade- Video
Today on our 2006 Cadillac Escalade, we'll be test fitting the convertible cushioned adjustable pencil mounting bar for two-inch hitches, rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMPC2. Before we test fit our ball mount in the hitch, we'll first need to get our hitch height measurement. To do this, we'll measure from the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground. In this truck, that measurement is 15 and a quarter inches. Keep in mind that this measurement can change due to tire size, hitch style, or any other accessory that may change your vehicle's ride height, so it's a good idea to measure yours We'll now slide the adjustable pencil mounting bar into the hitch, line up the hitch pin holes, and slide in our hitch pin. We'll then put the clip on the other side of the pin, which will secure the mounting bar to the vehicle. In its lowest point, where the pencil can be mounted to the ground measures nine and three quarters inches. This adjustable mounting bar has eight holes to let you adjust the pencil height to level your trailer. more
